Участок, известный под названием Чекинская степь расположен между поселками Урал, Ждановский, Ершоский, Грязнушевский, Ералгыз, Кизильского района, Челябинской области, в бассейне реки Урал, которая пересекает ее с севера на юг, и ее левого притока - Большой крараганки. Ориентирововчная площадь составляет около 70 000 га, что обеспечивает экологическую автономность территории. Центром участка, давшим ему название, является гора Чека, самая высокая точка юга Челяб. области (557.3 м). |
