Rationale for the creation of protected areas and its significance Historical-landscape museum-reserve Arkaim was organized in 1991 (as a branch Ilmensky reserve) in the steppe zone of the border and Kizilskogo Bredinskogo districts of the area 3.7 ha. The main object of protection is a unique archaeological monument - a proto-urban settlement of the Bronze Age. The museum-reserve are relatively well-preserved steppe communities, and floristic diversity of this small area quite considerably. Flora Museum in from 1991-1997. studied DA Moses (1998, 1999), according to which numbers 718 species (though their number included some species that it finds in other parts of the steppe zone of the area, including quite dramatically different from the territory of the Museum of Floral respect, such as river valley. II.21.5. brief description of vegetation (% of total area) Растительный покров района представлен в основном настоящими разнотравно-ковыльными и ковыльно-типчаковыми степями, а также луговыми, кустарниковыми и солонцеватыми степями. В качестве эдификаторов степных сообществ обычно выступают Stipa pennata (преимущественно в северной части района), S. zalesskii, S. lessingiana, S. korshinskyi (в южной части района), S. capillata и Festuca valesiaca s. l. В местах выхода на поверхность коренных пород на вершинах и склонах сопок, на склонах речных долин широко распространены петрофитные степи – полынно-типчаковые, типчаково-тырсовые, овсецовые, разнотравно-овсецовые. В долинах рек встречаются солонцеватые луга с Hordeum nevskianum, Limonium gmelinii и др., но в целом галофитные сообщества на территории района распространены ограниченно. В понижениях рельефа встречаются также осоковые кочкарники, ивняки и небольшие низинные осоковые болота. Значительные площади в средней и южной частях района занимают островные сосновые боры, из которых наиболее крупные размеры имеют Джабык-Карагайский, Черный, Тугунский и Брединские боры. Все они приурочены к выходам гранитов на возвышенностях Урало-Тобольского водораздела с неполноразвитыми щебнистыми почвами. В остальной части района лесная растительность представлена березовыми и осиново-березовыми колками, приуроченными к западинам и котловинам. Вследствие сравнительно высокой облесенности, обусловленной азональными факторами, ландшафт района получил название «ложной лесостепи» (Крашенинников, 1928). В травяном покрове колков и боров преобладают обычно степные и лугово-степные виды, но в борах встречается и ряд типично лесных видов, нехарактерных для степной зоны и произрастающих значительно южнее границы основного ареала (Athyrium filix-femina, Gymnocarpium dryopteris, Dryopteris filix-mas, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Chimaphila umbellata, Moneses uniflora, Orthilia secunda, Pyrola chlorantha, P. media, P. rotundifolia, Trientalis europaea, Ribes spicatum, Rubus idaeus, Lathyrus vernus, Aegopodium podagraria, Angelica sylvestris, Pulmonaria mollis, Cacalia hastata, Cirsium heterophyllum, C. oleraceum, Crepis sibirica, Lilium pilosiusculum, Paris quadrifolia, Cypripedium calceolus, Dactylorhiza hebridensis, Platanthera bifolia, Elymus caninus, Melica nutans и др.). В островных сосновых борах района преобладают сухие остепненные типы леса (каменистые боры) и мелкозлаковые сосновые редколесья. Сосновые боры района сильно пострадали от рубок и пожаров и значительно сократили свою площадь, местами сменившись производными березняками. Разнотравно-ковыльные, ковыльно-типчаковые и луговые степи района почти целиком распаханы и сохранились лишь на незначительных участках. Гораздо лучше сохранились петрофитные степи, занимающие на территории района значительные площади, но и они подвержены перевыпасу и регулярным палам.
