В растительном покрове района в доагрикультурный период на водоразделах и пологих склонах преобладали ковыльные и ковыльно-типчаковые степи со Stipa zalesskii, S. pennata (чаще в северной части района), S. tirsa, S. lessingiana (чаще в южной части района), S. capillata, Festuca valesiaca s. l. и довольно бедным по составу степным разнотравьем, часто включающим галофитные виды (Limonium gmelinii, Artemisia rupestris и др.). К небольшим понижениям приурочены участки луговых степей, также обычно солонцеватых, среди которых нередко имеются пятна солонцов. В более глубоких впадинах встречаются березовые или осиново-березовые колки или же в центре понижения развивается осоковый кочкарник, окаймленный ивовыми зарослями, вокруг которых обычно наблюдается кольцо галофитных сообществ. Лесистость района очень неравномерна: местами, например, на территории Троицкого лесостепного заказника или в восточной части Варненского р-на (в бассейне р. Караталы-Аят), островки березовых колков настолько многочисленны, что ландшафт напоминает лесостепь, тогда как южный участок района (в бассейнах рек Сынтасты и Бирсуат) почти безлесен. Лесистость долины р. Уй очень сильно сократилась в течение последних десятилетий вследствие систематических рубок, и в настоящее время чрезвычайно низка. Степные сообщества района, как и повсюду в степной зоне области, сильно пострадали от распашки и сохранились на незначительных участках (главным образом неудобных для земледелия вследствие высокой засоленности), подверженных влиянию выпаса и регулярных палов. В понижениях рельефа и по берегам озер широко распространены галофитные сообщества, представленные на территории района полным набором от слегка солонцеватых лугов (с Alopecurus arundinaceus, Galatella biflora, Silaum silaus, Cirsium canum и др.) до мокрых солончаков с Halocnemum strobilaceum. В составе разнообразных галофитных сообществ района наиболее распространены Puccinellia tenuissima, P. hauptiana, Leymus paboanus, Hordeum nevskianum, Carex diluta, Bolboschoenus maritimus, Juncus gerardii, Suaeda corniculata, Salicornia perennans, Petrosimonia litwinowii, Halimione verrucifera, Atriplex patens, Camphorosma monspeliaca, Rumex stenophyllus, Spergularia salina, Lepidium latifolium, Astragalus sulcatus, Seseli strictum, Glaux maritima, Frankenia hirsuta, Limonium gmelinii, L. caspium, Plantago cornuti, P. salsa, Artemisia nitrosa, A. lerchiana, A. rupestris, Saussurea salsa, S. amara, Scorzonera parviflora; встречается и целый ряд редких для области видов – Asparagus pallasii, Ofaiston monandrum, Suaeda acuminata, Rumex marschallianus, Limonium suffruticosum, Thellungiella salsuginea, Frankenia pulverulenta, Oxytropis glabra, Thermopsis schischkinii, Centaurium uliginosum, Gentiana riparia, Stemmacantha serratuloides. На каменистых и щебнистых склонах, на скальных обнажениях речных долин и вершинах увалов местами на небольших участках развиты петрофитные степи, как правило, очень обедненного состава. Только в долине р. Уй эти сообщества относительно богаты по составу и включают ряд редких видов, находящихся на северном и восточном пределах распространения, – Astragalus wolgensis, A. tenuifolius, A. cornutus, Ferula caspica, Linaria incompleta и др., а также эндемичный для этого района Astragalus austrouralensis. Долина р. Уй ниже с. Каракульское приобретает вполне равнинный характер и имеет широкую пойму с системой стариц, тополевниками из Populus nigra, ивняками (Salix alba, S. triandra, S. vinogradovii) и пойменными лугами с Tulipa biebersteiniana, Fritillaria meleagroides, Ranunculus silvisteppaceus, Pedicularis dasystachys. |
